The quickest way of getting to Corfu is of course by air. Domestic flights from Athens and Thessaloniki are operated by Olympic Airways and Aegean Airlines The duration of the flight from either city is approximately 50 minutes.
International direct flights are operated by EasyJet and charter airlines.
There are many alternatives for getting to Corfu by sea.
If you travel by yacht bear in mind that hosting with all the amenities offered by the Marina in Gouvia, located very close to the city, while in the city you can tie to the port of NAOK and the old port.
- For Paxos there are daily departures by Flying Dolphins from the New Port. The crossing takes 1 hour (direct) or 1hr and 40 mins. (via Igoumenitsa). In addition there are daily ferry boat departures from Corfu and Igoumenitsa, should you wish to take your car.
- For the Diapontian Islands there are regular departures with the 'Alexandros K.' from the New Port as well as a regular service from Sidari.
Apart from traveling with your own car, you can get to Corfu using the KTEL bus service, which operates daily services departing from Athens and Thessaloniki with intermediate departure points.
